Step One: Letter of Inquiry
Eligible organizations interested in requesting a grant from the Knot Foundation are required to first submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) along with a Financial Analysis Form. We prefer to receive these documents through our online grants program. If you are unable to complete an online application, please contact our Grants Manager, Kathleen McCarthy, at 410-235-7068 to make alternative arrangements.
Applicants are encouraged to preview the online Letter of Inquiry and Financial Analysis Form prior to beginning the online process.
- Letter of Inquiry Instructions (Pdf). You may download and print this form for your reference. This is simply a refernce tool, it is not the live application. Note: Once you begin the online Letter of Inquiry process, the form can be saved for later completion, however, it cannot be edited once it has been submitted.

Once your Letter of Inquiry has been successfully submitted, you will receive a message reading:
Thank You! Your inquiry has been successfully submitted. We will notify you if your organization has been selected to submit a full proposal regarding this funding request.
